Looking to go pumpkin picking near London? You’ve come to the right place. Here are some of the best that you won’t want to miss!

Autumn is upon us, and my favourite time of year is creeping around the corner once more.
Pumpkins are coming into season, the leaves are changing colour and the magic of Halloween is in the air.
Finding somewhere to go pumpkin picking near London is pretty much impossible.
Even with extensive research, the closest I could find (to East London), was 35 minutes away in Essex.
It isn’t too bad if you have a car, and you can really make a day of it and pick up a pumpkin-spiced latte for your road trip.
But if you’re a proper Londoner and rely on public transport, getting to a pumpkin patch may be a bit trickier.
However, if you are looking to drive the miles, these are some wonderful farms that have hundreds of pumpkins for you to choose from.
With Halloween festivals, fireworks, BBQs, live music and everything in between, some of the farms really go to town with their Halloween events.
So, whether you’re looking for a fun day out with all the family, or just a quick visit to a pumpkin field, we have everything you need to know about where to go pumpkin picking near London in 2022.

Tips for pumpkin picking
Pumpkin picking for the first time? Use these handy pumpkin-picking tips to help!
- Always, always wear wellies. I made this mistake the first time I ever went to a pumpkin patch, and my poor white trainers were black by the end of our trip. Always wear wellie boots (or shoes you don’t mind getting ruined!)
- Book your pumpkin patch slot online (or at least check availability). Since the big C-word, a lot of pumpkin patches require you to pre-book. Make sure you check the pumpkin patch’s website before visiting.
- Pick up a wheelbarrow at the front gate of the farm. If you don’t, you run the risk of spotting the perfect muddy pumpkin and not having anywhere to put it!
- Take cash (sometimes the pumpkin patches have hot dog stands and they are well worth the loose change, believe me)
- Prep with an umbrella or waterproof jacket (it’s England, we have to be realistic).
- Be warned: people WILL be taking photos. A lot. Including myself. Who doesn’t love a cute photo with a pumpkin?!

Garsons PYO Farm in Esher is also great! 🎃
Oooh I’ll check it out, thank you!
