Looking for the best restaurants in Putney? Living in Putney, we find it hard to decide where to head out for dinner each weekend. There are just so many restaurants to choose from! Use this guide to help you find the best restaurants in Putney for your next visit!

Not only is Putney one of the best places in London to enjoy a pint in a beer garden, but it is one of the BEST areas to eat in a good restaurant!
Even though we live here, it is taking us ages to get around all of the best restaurants in Putney! Every side street you take or turn you make, you end up finding another restaurant to add to your Putney list.
From chain and large names to cute independent Italians and Indians, Putney really does have it all when it comes tot the food department.
Throughout this list, I have included a standard budget guide to let you know where you stand when it comes to spending.
NOTE: This list does NOT include pubs. If you are looking for the best pubs in Putney, check out my guide here.
So, where are the best places to eat in Putney? Let’s get started!
Best restaurants in Putney
1. Bosa (Lebanese)
If you’re looking for a mix between good food and entertainment, had to the Lebanese restaurant on Putney High Street, Bosa.
When we first moved here, Bosa was on the top of my list. And not just because I love Lebanese food, but it also hosts belly dancing nights at the weekend!
The food at Bosa is delicious, and it always has a buzzing and vibrant atmosphere with Bosa lovers all round.
You can either walk-in or book a table at Bosa.

2. Coppa Club (British)
Coppa Club has two locations across London. One next to Putney Bridge, and one next to Tower Bridge (with Putney being my favourite).
Not only is Coppa Club known for its aesthetic and dreamy decor, with outdoor igloos and settings along the river, but it’s good value, too!
You can get a meal and alcoholic drink at Coppa for under £20 (and that’s pretty decent for London!)
They also do a mouth-watering Sunday roast (but you’ll need to book as it gets pretty busy!)
Walk-in or book your table here.
3. Chook Chook Indian Railway Kitchen
Forget Dishoom. There’s a new street kitchen Indian in town!
When I first spotted Chook Chook, I was so surprised by the colourful decor and funky aesthetic. I was drawn to it straight away!
Chook Chook serves up dishes from different regions in India, and aims to bring a mix of luxury and culture to your dining experience.
Trust me, it’s pretty magical.

4. Home SW15 (British)
Home is located right by East Putney station and is a local favourite.
Providing a welcoming, homey and fun vibe in the restaurant, Home is open from morning til midnight. Grab breakfast, lunch, dinner or cocktails all whilst feeling ‘at home’.
If you’re around on a Sunday, they serve a cracking beef wellington.
Ooh, and did I forget to say, they won the Best Local Restaurant Good Food Guide award in 2019? Yeah, they’re pretty awesome.
Walk-in or book your table here.
5. Roxie (Steak)
“A steak lovers dream” is quite literally their tag line.
Famous for their meat, Roxie is more of an experience than just a restaurant.
But don’t worry if you’re not a hungry meat-eater. Roxie also has a veggie burger that is DELICIOUS (I’ve tried it myself and it’s beeauttttt) and some of the best chips in Putney.
Yep, Roxie is by far one of the best restaurants in Putney!
Walk-in or book your table here.
6. Beyzade (Turkish)
Who doesn’t love a chicken shish and lashings of garlic sauce?
Beyzade is right next to East Putney station and is definitely the best Turkish dine-in restaurant in Putney.
They offer lunch and dinner 7 days a week, all in a lavish and fancy restaurant setting.
All their meat is halal and there are also veggie and fish options available.
(Get the chicken shish. You won’t regret it!)

If you need a date night, Putney Wine Bar and Kitchen is your place.
This restaurant is a cheese and wine lover’s dream. Set in a dimly lit room, with burning candles on every table and shiny, big wine glasses, you dine in the Putney Wine Bar and Kitchen for the experience just as much as the food.

Kashmir is one of my favourite restaurants in Putney and never disappoints.
With flavours inspired by this family-run business hometown of Kashmir, India, you can enjoy the cuisine in the most traditional way in this little restaurant in Putney.
The flavours are rich and delicious, with meat and veggie options.
If you’re in town, you’ve got to try it!

9. Bill’s (British)
Even though Bill’s is a chain, it’s one to be considered when you’re looking for food in Putney.
Located on the high street, you can pop into Bill’s for breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails, all at an affordable price.
It’s an easy option with great food, plenty of veggie options and a delicious brunch menu (highly recommend the stacked pancakes!)
You can book a table at Bill’s Putney here or just walk-in when needed!
10. Gazette (French)
Known for having the best beef tartare in town, Gazette isn’t one to miss if you’re a fan of French food.
Order a plate of snails, enjoy home-cooked sauces and drink some of the finest French wine, all in a cosy little restaurant on Upper Richmond Road.
Brunch is served until 5pm, and if it’s your birthday, make sure you order the birthday cake (it is crazy!)

Mmmmmm. Tapas.

A late-night hotspot with Londoners from all over, this restaurant serves all types of food from avo and eggs to Sunday roasts and hearty burgers.
Open from Weds-Sunday, every night involves some kind of live music, and you can always bank on it providing some kind of atmosphere.

17. Taj Mahal (Indian)
Taj Mahal is one of my favourite Indian restaurants in Putney, and not only because it serves some amazing Indian food.
It’s also BYOB.
BYOB (bring your own booze) in London is hard to come by, and will save you a lot of £££!
You can order your favourite tikka masala and a few sides all for under £15. It’s the perfect spot for those on a budget.
You can find the Taj Mahal on Upper Richmond Road, about 5 minutes from East Putney Station.

Another chain, but Franco Manco hits the spot when all you want is a tasty pizza and a pint of beer.

Ooh, and if they’re serving the honey pizza, get it. It is unreeeal.
