Looking for the best brunches in East London? You’ve come to the right place! As a self-proclaimed ‘brunch’ expert, I’ve sussed out the best spots in the east of the city for you to enjoy.

Remember the days when brunch used to mean the average snack between breakfast and lunch? Maybe a croissant…or an extra cup of coffee…well, not anymore.
Brunch has fully asserted itself as one of the best meals of the day, and us Londoners bloody love it.
If I’m honest, I love the brunch hype.
It’s become a meal that we dress up for, and have the most aesthetically pleasing plates put in front of us. It’s quite likely your plate will consist of a perfectly poached egg balanced on a golden-brown bagel with oozing Hollandaise sauce poured over the top.
Throw this on Instagram, and bang you’ve got the best-looking brunch in town.
But what used to be a weekend-only event, is now an all ‘week-er’.
If you’re unaware of the term ‘bottomless brunch’, in simple terms, it means a brunch with additional unlimited alcohol.
This is usually timed, and you’ll be given an hour or two slot to guzzle as much prosecco as possible.
Venues usually offer prosecco or their choice of cocktail, with some branching out and serving white wine (for those of you with a death wish).
Just be sure to check their websites before booking to check if they offer a drink you’d be happy to down for 120 minutes.
Not all venues offer the bottomless option, so I’ve put a 🍾 symbol to show whether they do or not. Note that the unlimited option usually involves an extra payment of around £20.
So, let’s get down to it – the best brunches in east London. I don’t know about you, but all this brunch talk is making me hungry…

MMM, el brunch es tan bueno.
While you may not IMMEDIATELY think of tapas when you hear the word brunch, let me tell you, it WORKS.
Dive into this Spanish paradise in Shoreditch to experience one of the best brunches in East London. With an option of a £35 addition of flowing Sangria, Cava or lager, the set menu includes some Spanish favourites like seafood paella and ham croquettes. Oh, amo!
With a motto of ‘the bigger the group, the bigger the pan’, I’d recommend piling on the pressure when it comes to your invite list. Round up the pals and dish up that paella!

6. Hotbox, Spitalfields 🍾
It may be known for its impeccably good smoked meat, but Hotbox is a serious contender for one of the best brunches in East London.
With countless endorsements claiming Hotbox to be the best brunch in London, you can also opt in for bottomless bubbles and cocktails for just an extra £25 per head.
From veggie eggs and mushroom rarebit, to smoked pork ribs and dry-aged beef, the menu at Hotbox is unbeatable. They even do deep fried oreos. I mean, come on. I’m sold.
Check out the menu here.
7. Snackbar, Dalston
Simple, yet delicious.
This cafe with its standard yet tasty menu is one for brunch-lovers on the go. From croissants to breakfast burritos, Snackbar’s only small, but it sure does pack a punch.
Head to Snackbars for brunch from 8-12, then for lunch from 12 onwards. It’s a perfect brunch spot if you’re in the area and have the stomach rumbles.

8. Hash 8, Dalston
“Brunch is king so we serve it all day.” Yassss, you go Hash 8.
Add this one to your list for when you’re mega hungover. Trust me, they serve up everything you’re looking for when your head is pounding and you can barely blink.
With an American-diner inspired theme, sip on your coffee and enjoy your Nutella filled pancakes in this cosy little Dalston corner.
9. Ozone Coffee Roasters, Shoreditch/London Fields
“Award-winning Eateries combining welcoming environments, speciality coffee, a commitment to local suppliers, minimising waste, and of course, flavour on the plate.” – Ozone Coffee Roasters
Speciality coffee? Sign me up.
This industrial-style, busy cafe. is one of the best-known brunch spots in East London. Tucked away on a side street, the doors are always busy due to their ridiculously good reputation. Comfortable and friendly, this coffee-slash-brunch spot is perfect for anyone wanting a decent egg or a unique dish like smoked fish kedgeree. Random, but love it.
It’s also a great location from Spitalfields market, so you can really make a day out of your visit.
10. Barboun, Shoreditch
Fancy something OTHER than eggs? Barboun in Shoreditch is one of the best spots to pick up a rather different brunch menu, serving Eastern Mediterranean foods cooked over a wood fire. Ooh la la.
Their weekend brunch serves up everything from lamb kofte to a rib burger, with options like. Turkish platter and beetroot burgers. Mmmmm, drooling.
Not only is the food good, but the interior is pretty cool too. With giant windows and trees separating the tables, you’ll feel like you’ve been lifted out of London and dropped right in the middle of Lebanon.
Check out their menu here.
11. Morito, Hackney
Family-run Morito is one of the best brunch spots in Hackney. With influences drawn from Southern Spain and Northern Africa, Morito offers a spin on some of our favourite brunch classics.
Not only do Morito serve up a cracking brunch, but they offer some of the best immersive live music in the area. Plus, they’re pretty good for their vegan and veggie options.
“Morito Music nights draws from the wealth of talent and musical variety in East London. The fully immersive experience sees the musicians play in the middle of the room, whilst you watch from the banquette seating, in Morito’s stylish new basement space.” – Morito
12. Jones & Sons, Dalston 🍾
The famous Jones & Sons weekend brunch fills up weeks in advance, due to their decadent menu and option of bottomless G&T or prosecco.
Choose from options such as shakshuka, steak and eggs or some sweet, sweet Belgian waffles, and relax in this traditionally British restaurant.
“It’s a place to meet, eat, and drink, with an emphasis on well prepared honest British food of the highest quality & artisan cocktails from around the world.” – Jones & Sons
13. The Breakfast Club, Hoxton
This well-known brunch spot attracts visitors from all over the city. The Breakfast Club isn’t just a brunch spot, it’s the American way of life.
Opened by two childhood friends who were inspired by the US sitcom ‘Cheers’, the Breakfast Club boasts it’s a welcoming venue with one mission – to be a place where ‘everyone knows your name’.
Now of course, the Breakfast Club is now famous for its extra large breakfasts and lashings of syrup with queues out the front door.
But still, the venue has a warm and friendly feel and hasn’t lost sight of its feel-good values.
There are venues all over London, but my favourite is in the self-proclaimed East London capital of Hoxton.
